Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
Annapolis, MD

Overview:
Our residential facility in Annapolis is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to make a lasting difference in the lives of youth survivors of trafficking and complex trauma. You’ll implement treatment plans, coach daily living skills, and provide crisis support that helps residents build independence, stability, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and follow each resident’s individualized treatment plan to meet their therapeutic needs and support progress
• Follow procedures for residential daily living and educational programs while ensuring the safety and health of all residents
• Facilitate individualized and group activities and programs so each resident receives therapeutic, educational, and personal care
• Promote emotional and behavioral development, and teach and reinforce daily living skills to build independence
• Provide compassionate crisis intervention as needed
• Transport residents to appointments and approved destinations using a company vehicle
• Maintain accurate documentation and records, reporting to the Residential Shift Supervisor and/or Residential Manager

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a BHT or in a similar behavioral health role, in a residential or facility-based (non-hospital) setting
• Experience working with adolescents or adults with trauma histories
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work within the required service area
