Job Description

Coding Specialist is required to review, evaluate, and code outpatient same day surgery, observations, and ED chart encounters. Proficient in the use of various coding systems including Epic and 3M 360 CAC. Experience with electronic medical records and CPT coding. Successful candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience working in a health care facility environment. Preferred candidate will have knowledge of medical terminology and an understanding of coding guidelines and principles.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of Same day surgery, Observation, Ancillary, and ED coding required
• Strong knowledge of CPT coding guidelines
• CPC, CCS, COC, RHIT, or RHIA certification
• Proficient in the use of Epic and 3M 360 CAC
• Ability to work from home using high-speed internet

Job Types: Full-time

Contract Pay: $37.00 - $44.00 per hour

Experience:

• EPIC and 3M 360 CAC Encoder: 1 year (Preferred)
• Same-Day Surgery, Observations, Emergency Department Coding: 5 years (Preferred)
