With decades of experience, they are recognized for delivering reliable products, innovative solutions, and exceptional customer service across energy, utilities, and infrastructure markets. They're seeking a Rental Shop Technician to add their team in the Grand Prairie, Tx area!

Successful candidates must pass a background check, MVR, physical, and drug screening as a requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, clean, prepare, and stage McElroy fusion equipment prior to rental.
  • Perform thorough inspections of returned equipment, documenting damage, missing components, and overall condition.
  • Capture accurate pre- and post-rental photos and complete inspection documentation.
  • Load, unload, wrap, and secure equipment for safe transportation.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including checking hydraulic hoses, fluid levels, lubrication, and cleaning equipment.
  • Assist technicians with basic repair tasks to support equipment turnaround.
  • Tag and organize equipment according to rental and work orders.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe rental yard, warehouse, and shop environment.
  • Monitor inventory of shop supplies and notify the Rental Coordinator when replenishment is needed.
  • Assist with inventory counts, tracking rental equipment, and organizing accessories.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with rental equipment needs and supporting successful equipment operation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in a rental shop, warehouse, construction, utility, or similar industrial environment preferred.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle heavy equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
