Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Financial Accountant to support multiple client accounts through accurate financial reporting, month-end close activities, reconciliations, and operational accounting support. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced client service environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, audit support, and financial reporting, while maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting & Financial Operations
- Prepare and record journal entries accurately and timely.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain and update account reconciliation trackers.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Prepare financial reports and support management reporting requirements.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for clients.
- Support annual 1099 reporting activities as needed.
- Assist with audit requests and preparation of audit documentation.
Client Service & Communication
- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and high-quality service.
- Respond to client requests and accounting inquiries in a timely manner.
- Participate in client meetings and internal operational meetings.
- Escalate issues, risks, or deadline concerns proactively.
Systems & Process Compliance
- Follow established accounting procedures, internal controls, SOC controls, and SOX requirements where applicable.
- Utilize accounting and operational systems including ERP platforms, Power BI, Monday.com, ConnectWise, Microsoft Teams, and document management systems.
- Maintain organized financial documentation and supporting records.
Team Collaboration & Operational Support
- Collaborate with managers and peers to prioritize workload effectively.
- Support cross-training and backup coverage initiatives.
- Provide support to team members during PTO coverage or high-volume periods.
- Complete timesheets and administrative requirements accurately and on time.
Professional Development

- Continuously improve technical accounting knowledge and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 4+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience preferred.
- Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting required.
- Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial statements.
- Experience supporting audits and working within internal control environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems/ERPs.
- Experience with Power BI or reporting tools is a plus.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a client-facing environment.
