We are seeking a Midstream Plant Accountant with experience in gas processing plants and gathering systems. This role supports plant close activities, allocations, settlements, and system maintenance, while building deeper expertise in Quorum TIPS and midstream accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support month-end close for gas processing plants and gathering systems
- Prepare and distribute plant and gathering allocations
- Execute routine settlements, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Maintain and update Quorum TIPS, including basic system setups and testing support
- Load volumes in TIPS, update pricing data, and review results for accuracy
- Prepare and post journal entries related to midstream operations
- Assemble AR and AP invoices with appropriate pipeline support
- Generate settlement statements and support PPAs
- Perform system balancing and assist with contract review
- Assist with contract interpretation and implement applicable changes in TIPS and QCM
- Communicate with producers and internal stakeholders regarding routine issues and questions
- Work closely with midstream clients and internal teams to resolve day-to-day operational and accounting issues
- Support the regulatory team with state and federal reporting requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in midstream accounting, preferably plant or gathering
- Working knowledge of accounting transactions related to gas processing plants
- Exposure to midstream operations, including gathering, transportation, plant accounting, and fractionation
- Experience with Quorum TIPS preferred
- Experience with QCM and QDOD a plus
- Understanding of system balancing and settlement processes
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively across accounting, operations, and regulatory teams
