Job Description
Our client is seeking a Service Coordinator to join their team in Grand Prairie, TX. They are a leading provider of HDPE piping solutions and services, supporting a wide range of industrial and infrastructure projects.
This role oversees rental operations and equipment fleet management while supporting customer service, service coordination, and order processing. The position ensures equipment is available, maintained, tracked, and billed correctly, while working closely with service, sales, warehouse, and branch teams to reduce downtime and maintain consistent processes across all locations. Travel between branches is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Rental & Fleet Oversight
- Manage rental fleet across all branches, tracking location, condition, usage, and service status.
- Inspect equipment, relocate underutilized assets, and address down/off-rent machines.
- Recommend repair, rebuild, or retirement of aging or low-use equipment.
Service Coordination
- Work with service teams to ensure timely repairs and reduce downtime.
- Track repair progress, assist with parts and quotes, and ensure equipment is properly inspected and documented.
Customer Service & Order Processing
- Assist customers via phone and in person with product inquiries, rentals, and orders.
- Prepare quotes, process service tickets, and ensure accurate order entry and billing.
- Resolve issues and maintain strong customer relationships.
Billing, Logistics & Documentation
- Ensure accurate billing for rentals, service, damages, and freight.
- Coordinate equipment deliveries, pickups, and transfers.
- Maintain proper documentation, including service records and inspections.
Inventory & Warehouse Support
- Maintain inventory accuracy, assist with cycle counts, and monitor stock levels.
- Support shipping/receiving, order fulfillment, and warehouse organization.
Processes & Team Support
- Follow and support standardized rental and service procedures.
- Train and assist staff; act as escalation point for rental or service issues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3+ years of experience in rental operations, service, or warehouse support.
- Strong customer service, organization, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/order entry systems preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel and assist with physical warehouse tasks as needed.
