Job Description

Our client is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join their team in Odessa, TX. They are a leading provider of artificial lift equipment, specializing in beam pumping unit (BPU) systems that support efficient and reliable oilfield production. This role focuses on driving long-term growth in the Permian Basin by building strong customer relationships, delivering technical solutions, and positioning BPU products and services to succeed in a competitive market.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, business drivers, and market segments within the Permian Basin
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through technical expertise, integrity, and high-quality service
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory developments to inform sales strategies
  • Develop and execute sales strategies specific to beam pumping unit (BPU) systems and related services
  • Influence customer specifications and requirements for BPU equipment and solutions
  • Prepare proposals in response to customer needs, RFQs, and RFPs, while effectively communicating technical value
  • Provide informal quotes and recommend tailored solutions to meet customer objectives
  • Identify and develop new product and service opportunities to strengthen the BPU portfolio
  • Participate in bid strategy development for key opportunities
  • Maintain and update contacts, leads, and opportunities within the CRM system
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experience
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to long-term regional growth

Qualifications/Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Solid technical background in artificial lift, preferably with beam pumping unit (BPU) systems
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to succeed in a competitive sales environment
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to sales
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 10–15 years of experience in oil & gas production, artificial lift, or BPU systems
  • Prior experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce preferred
  • Production-related experience considered a strong asset
