Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Midstream Plant Accountant with hands-on experience in gas processing plants and gathering systems. This role is responsible for plant close activities, allocations, settlements, and system maintenance, with a strong emphasis on Quorum TIPS and midstream accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end close for gas processing plants and gathering systems
- Prepare, review, and distribute plant and gathering allocations
- Execute settlements, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Maintain, test, and implement Quorum TIPS, including system setups and updates
- Load and analyze volumes in TIPS and update pricing data
- Prepare and post journal entries related to midstream operations
- Assemble and review AR and AP invoices with appropriate pipeline support
- Generate settlement statements and support PPAs
- Perform system balancing and contract review
- Interpret contracts and implement applicable changes in TIPS and QCM
- Communicate with producers and internal stakeholders as needed
- Work closely with midstream clients to resolve operational and accounting issues
- Partner with the regulatory team to support state and federal reporting requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in midstream accounting, preferably plant or gathering
- Strong understanding of accounting transactions related to gas processing plants
- Solid background in midstream operations, including: Gathering, Transportation, Plant accounting, Fractionation
- Hands-on experience with Quorum TIPS (required)
- Experience with QCM and QDOD preferred
- Proficiency in system balancing and settlement processes
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively across accounting, operations, and regulatory teams
