Job Description

Our client is a world-class consulting services provider that helps organizations become the best version of themselves through technology, people, and practices. They are seeking a highly skilled and motivated temporary Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team! This role is pivotal in managing year-end statutory reporting, ensuring accuracy in accounting, timely audit and income tax return support, and compliance with Sales and Use tax collection, filing, and payment.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting within the technology sector, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Responsibilities:

Compliance and Reporting:

● Prepare and present schedules and supporting data during audits and filing preparation,

coordinating and preparing responses to audit / filing inquiries as needed.

● Standardize sales and use tax accounting, optimizing use of sales tax compliance

software to properly reflect our nexus environment and align our collection and reporting

of all appropriate taxes payable.

● Support efforts to standardize and document our Accounting department processes,

especially for audits and compliance reporting.

 

Qualifications:

● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

● Minimum of 5 years of experience in audits and statutory / regulatory reporting,

preferably within professional services or the technology industry.

● Proficiency in accounting software; experience with NetSuite is highly desirable.

● Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial compliance regulations.

● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace applications, particularly

Excel and Google Sheets.

● Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex

financial information clearly.

● Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines

in a fast-paced environment.

● Self-motivated with a high sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize effectively.

● Nice-to-have: experience in performing payroll processing, especially utilizing ADP
