They're seeking a Poly Fusion Technician to add their team in the Houston, TX area!
Successful candidates must pass a background check, MVR check and drug screening as a requirement for these positions.

Responsibilities
- Perform butt fusion, electrofusion, saddle fusion, socket fusion, and mechanical joining of PE piping systems according to manufacturer and project specifications.
- Inspect pipe and fittings to ensure they meet dimensional and quality requirements prior to fusion.
- Set up, operate, and maintain fusion equipment (butt fusion machines, EF control boxes, scrapers, generators, heaters).
- Document fusion parameters and maintain accurate fusion logs and QA/QC records.
- Install and test completed piping systems (hydrostatic, pneumatic, or visual tests as required).
- Follow all site-specific and OSHA safety requirements, including PPE, trench safety, lockout/tagout, and hot-work protocols.
- Ensure all fusions comply with ASTM, ISO, PPI, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Participate in job hazard analyses (JHA) and toolbox talks.
Equipment & Site Work
- Maintain and troubleshoot fusion equipment to ensure proper calibration and operation.
- Assist with pipe handling, stringing, alignment, trench preparation, and backfilling.
- Operate small machinery such as generators, pipe rollers, or small excavating tools (if certified).
- Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with environmental standards.
Qualifications
- Experience in PE/HDPE pipe fusion (butt fusion and/or electrofusion).
- Ability to read construction drawings, isometric diagrams, and fusion procedures.
- Understanding of pipe materials, SDR ratings, pressure ratings, and basic thermoplastic behavior.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items, work outdoors in varying conditions, and perform tasks in trenches or confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
