Job Description

Our client is looking for an Automation Sales Representative to join their team in Odessa, TX. They are a leading provider of artificial lift systems and automation solutions that help optimize oilfield production performance. This role focuses on building customer relationships, understanding business objectives, and recommending solutions that drive performance while growing the client’s market presence through both existing and new accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate superior knowledge of products and applications and effectively communicate the value proposition
  • Use a combination of product and application expertise to propose solutions that address customer challenges
  • Continuously add value to relationships with new and existing customers
  • Identify prospective customers and understand their business needs and drivers
  • Maintain and update contacts, leads, and opportunities within the CRM system
  • Foster a collaborative sales culture across sales and service teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experience
  • Develop and maintain a written, measurable sales plan for accounts in the region
  • Meet or exceed sales revenue goals for the product line within the region
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with executive and technical-level contacts at key accounts
  • Maintain a rolling four-quarter forecast and provide updates regularly
  • Evaluate market trends and competitor intelligence to inform sales strategies
Major Functions & Duties
  • Grow sales revenue for the assigned product line in the region
  • Listen to customer concerns and use technical knowledge to provide effective solutions
  • Build and expand a professional network with diverse customer contacts
  • Leverage internal drive and confidence to continuously pursue sales growth
  • Communicate product features and benefits clearly and persuasively to potential customers
  • Advance current-quarter sales initiatives and keep forecasts updated
  • Travel within the region as required (estimated less than 20% outside the region)
  • Meet with executive-level customers to evaluate service quality, identify competitive threats, and uncover new opportunities
  • Provide support and guidance for proposals and quotes to key or growth accounts
  • Collaborate closely with regional service center managers to align on account activities
Qualifications/Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in Business or related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the oil and gas production segment
  • Strong understanding of automation systems, artificial lift, and rod pumping operations
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally to achieve sales goals
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
