Job Description

Our client is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to join their team in Odessa, TX. They are a leading provider of artificial lift systems and automation solutions that help optimize oilfield production performance. This role focuses on building customer relationships, understanding business objectives, and recommending solutions that drive performance while growing the client’s market presence through both existing and new accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field assessments and collaborate with production engineers, lease operators, and artificial lift teams to identify automation opportunities on beam pumping units, rod lift systems, and other artificial lift equipment.
  • Provide detailed guidance on the integration, tuning, and troubleshooting of automation systems used in beam pumping unit operations, including VFDs, pump-off controllers, load-cell systems, and runtime optimization tools.
  • Continuously add value to relationships with new and existing customers
  • Identify prospective customers and understand their business needs and drivers
  • Maintain and update contacts, leads, and opportunities within the CRM system
  • Foster a collaborative sales culture across sales and service teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experience
  • Develop and maintain a written, measurable sales plan for accounts in the region
  • Meet or exceed sales revenue goals for the product line within the region
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with executive and technical-level contacts at key accounts
  • Maintain a rolling four-quarter forecast and provide updates regularly
  • Evaluate market trends and competitor intelligence to inform sales strategies

 

Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) in Business or related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience in the oil and gas production segment
  • Strong understanding of automation systems, artificial lift, and rod pumping operations
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally to achieve sales goals
  • Highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
