Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Market Development Associate with a strong hunter mentality to grow customer enrollments through broker channels and strategic partnerships. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and ideally has experience in residential energy markets. Small Business and C&I experience are a plus, and prior industry knowledge will be highly valued. The Market Development Associate will also oversee the monthly broker commission payment process to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and expand broker and partner relationships to drive new customer enrollments.
- Create and execute partnership strategies that increase residential growth; expand into SMB/C&I where applicable.
- Prospect, negotiate, and close new partnership opportunities with a focus on rapid enrollment growth.
- Act as a customer-facing representative, ensuring professionalism and responsiveness.
- Oversee the monthly broker commission payment process, coordinating with internal teams to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Track and report on broker and partnership performance against key KPIs.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Finance to align sales strategies with broader business objectives.
- Represent at industry events and networking opportunities to drive awareness and pipeline growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a hunter role.
- Experience managing broker channels and partnerships in the retail electricity industry strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; ability to build trust quickly.
- Excellent organizational skills to oversee both sales pipelines and commission processes.
- Analytical mindset with ability to track results and recommend improvements.
