We’re seeking an experienced Structural Ironworker Foreman to lead and oversee a crew during the erection of steel structures. This role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of structural ironwork, and the ability to manage multiple aspects of the construction process, including safety, scheduling, and material coordination.

Pay: Up to $35/hour, depending on experience 
Schedule: 55-65 hours per week, occasional Saturdays, Sundays off

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Site Superintendent
  • Lead and manage a crew of ironworkers
  • Oversee daily reports, inspections, and field work via the Field Change Order Process
  • Manage on-site equipment and coordinate rentals with the Superintendent
  • Maintain material inventory and ensure the availability of consumables
  • Coordinate work schedules, hours, and inspections with the Superintendent and General Contractor
  • Participate in weekly on-site contractor meetings
  • Collaborate with the Safety Department during audits and inspections
  • Plan and execute work safely, efficiently, and according to specifications
  • Read and interpret IFC and structural drawings
  • Erect iron/steel structures, hoist materials, and use proper rigging techniques
  • Verify alignment of steel members and ensure correct bolting/bracing
  • Perform welding, cutting, and equipment maintenance as needed
  • Signal and direct cranes, forklifts, and manlifts
  • Perform heavy lifting, work at heights, and follow all OSHA and PPE requirements

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • 4+ years of experience as a Structural Ironworker
  • Proven leadership and crew management abilities
  • Ability to meet all physical requirements, including working at heights
  • Strong understanding of rigging, welding, bolting procedures, and steel connections
  • Familiarity with specialty tools, equipment, and safe work practices
