Our client is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGLs), crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. They have a beautiful office located in Downtown Houston and are looking to add a Digital Transformation Solutions Lead to their IT team!Our client is seeking a proactive and tech-savvy professional to lead solution discovery and evaluation efforts for business process transformation initiatives. This individual will work closely with stakeholders to understand use cases, document requirements, evaluate tools (including low-code/no-code platforms, automation solutions, and AI-enabled apps), and drive proof-of-concept (POC) execution through to operationalization. Assumes routine administrative tasks, and will be called upon to make independent decisions, direct and coordinate activities of others.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with business teams to understand use cases and pain points.
- Create detailed requirement documents, including As-Is and To-Be process flows.
- Research and evaluate market tools and platforms aligned with business needs.
- Lead POC efforts: coordinate with vendors, schedule demos, and manage NDA/MSA processes.
- Facilitate cross-functional discussions to assess solution fit and feasibility.
- Ensure operationalization and scalability are considered throughout the evaluation.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, especially in AI, automation, and low-code/no-code ecosystems.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrates strong cross-team collaboration skills, knowledge sharing, and advises on best-practices and process improvements.
- Demonstrates understanding of system-wide dependencies and interactions.
- Advises management in the development of short/long-term information technology strategies from both a technical and/or business perspective.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree from a 4 year accredited university is preferred.
- 10+ years of related industry or technical experience preferred.
- Computer Science, Computer Information Systems (CIS), or Management Information Systems (MIS) degree is preferred.
- Dedicated to meeting/exceeding the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with co-workers, customers, and all levels of management to gain their trust and respect.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and effectively apply the new skills and knowledge.
