Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Security Installation Technician to support off-shift installation and commissioning of advanced security systems in the Anaheim, CA area. This individual will lead field execution for system installs and act as the primary on-site representative. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Card Access, CCTV, and Intrusion Detection systems, as well as a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute security system installations per project drawings and manufacturer specifications
- Lead and support field technicians on-site, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact, maintaining professional communication with all stakeholders
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation
- Coordinate with project managers and attend site meetings to provide progress updates
- Ensure compliance with all company safety guidelines and policies
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs provided by the company
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in AV, Security, Access Control, or Infrastructure Cabling
- Proven ability to lead small installation teams and report to a Foreman or Project Manager
- Experience installing and servicing Card Access, CCTV, and Intrusion Detection systems
- Familiarity with platforms such as Lenel, Software House, Axis, or Avigilon preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot system issues
- Possess standard telecom tools (punch downs, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, etc.)
- Valid driver's license required; MVR subject to review under fleet policy
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work off-shift, including potential overtime, weekends, and out-of-town travel
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to travel up to 60% within the assigned region
- Must be able to interpret documents, communicate effectively, and compute basic math functions
Preferred Certifications
- Manufacturer certifications (Lenel, Avigilon, etc.)
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Industry-related technical certifications
Physical & Work Environment
- Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use ladders or scaffolds
- Must be able to identify colored wires, work on A-frames, and operate basic hand tools
- Exposure to elevated workspaces, mechanical parts, weather elements, electrical hazards, and moderate-to-loud noise
