The Senior Automation Controls Engineer serves as a controls and automation SME and will serve as main point of contact for customers and serves as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. The preferred candidate will have Rockwell Automation Software experience. Responsible for effectively providing process controls support for on-site installation, start-up, maintenance, and operation of the company's modular and mobile natural gas processing plants for the upstream and midstream oil and gas sector.
Responsibilities:
Provide automation support through installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of equipment and systems.
Maintain automation systems, inclusive of performing PLC ladder logic, HMI programming and SCADA system management for new or modified equipment.
Ownership and management of controls strategy for the MaCH4 product line.
Oversee electrical panel design, instrumentation selection through factory acceptance testing (FAT), reporting and approvals.
Troubleshoot problems, identify, and implement new or amended system functionality, identify operational process gaps, and take corrective actions.
Recommend and initiate modifications or replacement of equipment which fail to meet operating standards.
Communication Experience with: PLC programming utilizing RSLogix 5, 500, 5000, FactoryTalk Studio software Studio5000, ControlLogix, CompactLogix PowerFlex products and applications Ethernet/IP, with networks including EtherNet, ControlNet, and DeviceNet
