Our client is seeking a Product Manager with deep expertise in Dresser-Rand large-bore integral engines to lead their aftermarket strategy and commercial growth. This role is responsible for managing the full product lifecycle, with a focus on legacy models such as Clark, Worthington, and Ingersoll-Rand integral engines still widely in use in compression applications across oil & gas and midstream operations.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary.

- 401(k) match up to 5%. Employees are 100% vested on day one.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Strategy
- Identify and prioritize Dresser-Rand integral engines within the installed fleet for overhaul services and high-margin parts opportunities.
- Develop a detailed understanding of legacy model distribution (e.g., Clark HBA/TLA, Worthington LVC, IR KVG) across regions and customer segments.
- Engage with key customers operating legacy Dresser-Rand engines to understand technical challenges, parts needs, and lifecycle support gaps.
- Conduct competitive analysis of OEM and aftermarket players, including Cooper Machinery Services and independent service providers, to position our offerings effectively.
Product and Service Development
- Develop overhaul programs and upgrade paths for aging Clark, Worthington, and IR engines in coordination with Field Service, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
- Identify commonly replaced or long-lead components—such as pistons, liners, valves, and cylinder assemblies—and recommend stocking strategies based on fleet data and failure trends.
- Work with Engineering to improve or reverse-engineer obsolete or high-failure parts to extend asset life and performance.
- Provide internal technical support for complex customer inquiries, including engine troubleshooting, rebuild planning, and emissions compliance.
Commercial Execution
- Train sales teams and application engineers on legacy Dresser-Rand product features, overhaul scopes, parts identification, and quoting best practices.
- Develop pricing strategies, discount structures, and customer-specific multipliers in partnership with the Pricing team to drive profitable growth.
- Collaborate with third-party machine shops and authorized service centers to extend geographic coverage and delivery capabilities.
- Own the P&L for the Dresser-Rand aftermarket portfolio, accountable for revenue growth, margin targets, and customer retention.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field strongly preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in reciprocating engine product management, aftermarket sales, or technical service, ideally with exposure to Dresser-Rand legacy equipment.
- Strong working knowledge of large-bore engine performance characteristics, emissions regulations, and common overhaul procedures.
- Familiarity with OEM documentation, bills of materials, and parts manuals specific to Clark, Worthington, and IR engines.
- Ability to build trust and credibility with field technicians, maintenance managers, and procurement leads.
- Skilled in mechanical troubleshooting and interpreting engine failure reports and service history.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, and ERP systems such as SAP.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and working collaboratively across commercial, technical, and operational teams.
