Our client is a world leader in providing fabricated pressure-tested storage tanks and vessels, and they have quickly expanded their services into the utility industry. Even after over 20 years of service, they are still rapidly growing and looking to add a QC Receiving Inspector to their team in Midland, TX! Key Responsibilities:
- Inspects incoming materials by first performing a visual inspection of materials, components, and products received from suppliers and vendors.
- Verifies accompanying documentation such as packing slips.
- Counts all material to verify that the number of each product delivered matches the accompanying documentation.
- Identifies any deliveries where there are non-conformities between packing slips and number of items delivered.
- Communicates any supplier issues to relevant departments, such as purchasing, production, and quality assurance to facilitate timely decision-making and corrective actions.
- Marks all materials delivered by adhering stickers and color coding for ease of finding and using at a later time and so that no further labeling is required.
- After all materials have been color coded and labeled, the Inspector then releases them to the Warehouse.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance receiving inspection processes, efficiency, and effectiveness, and contributes to overall quality improvement efforts.
