Job Description

Our client is a world leader in providing fabricated pressure-tested storage tanks and vessels, and they have quickly expanded their services into the utility industry. Even after over 20 years of service, they are still rapidly growing and looking to add a Quality Manager to their team in Midland, TX! This is a Direct Hire opportunity that comes with several perks including full benefits (medical, dental, vision), paid holidays, paid time off, and 401K.

Successful candidates must pass a background check, MVR check and drug screening as a requirement for these positions.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage quality management systems (QMS) in line with ASME, API, AWS, D1.1, and ISO 9001.
  • Supervise quality control inspections, testing procedures, and documentation.
  • Lead internal and external audits; liaise with certification bodies and regulatory agencies.
  • Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain quality documentation including WPS, PQRs, ITPs, and MDRs.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and industry-specific standards.
  • Train and support QA/QC personnel and production staff on quality procedures and policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. (Preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of ASME Section V/VIII/IX, API (American Petroleum Institute) Specifications, ISO 9001 QMS, and other related Codes and/or Specifications.
  • Strong understanding of welding, NDT, and fabrication processes.
