Our client serves as West Texas and New Mexico's trusted fabricator for storage tanks, utility poles, and custom solutions built with quality and precision. With decades of experience with energy in the Permian Basin, they can deliver quality solutions quickly and efficiently! They are looking to add a Plasma Table Operator to their team in the Midland, TX area.Successful candidates must pass a background check, MVR check and drug screening as a requirement for these positions.Position Summary:
The Plasma Cut Table Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC plasma cutting equipment used in the production of custom metal components. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality cuts and efficient production flow within our fabrication shop.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC plasma cut table to cut metal plates and components to specifications.
- Interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine material requirements and cutting instructions.
- Load and unload metal sheets safely onto the cutting table using appropriate material handling equipment.
- Monitor machine performance, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot minor issues to maintain quality and production targets.
- Inspect finished parts for quality assurance, ensuring adherence to dimensional tolerances and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety policies.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure timely project completion and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training in manufacturing or welding is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating CNC plasma cutting tables in a fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of metal types, thicknesses, and how different materials respond to plasma cutting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and CNC program codes.
- Basic computer and CNC software skills (e.g., AutoCAD, nesting software).
- Forklift and overhead crane operation experience preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a shop environment.
