Job Description

Our client provides natural gas compression equipment and services to customers globally in the Oil & Gas, Power, Transportation, and Marine sectors. Headquartered in Houston, TX, but with commercial and services hubs around the world, our client provides world-class services to more than 22,000 units in its installed base.

As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and fostering customer relationships within your assigned geographic area. This position demands proactive collaboration with both customers and internal teams to meet and exceed annual sales objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Account Manager's primary focus will be on the company portfolio products and services and will be responsible for the following:

  • Sales Focus: Drive the sales of Reciprocating products, services, and parts, with an emphasis on reciprocating engines and compressors.
  • Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
  • Solution Communication: Present and promote innovations and technology solutions to address customer operational challenges.
  • Strategy Development: Formulate and execute a sales strategy for targeted clients to drive growth and achieve sales targets.
  • Collaboration: Partner with technical sales support to ensure successful sales execution and customer satisfaction.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Microsoft Dynamics on a daily basis.
  • Travel: Commit to approximately 70% travel within the assigned area to engage with customers and support sales efforts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college preferred
  • Minimum High School diploma or GED from an accredited school or institution with at least 7 years of experience in Sales
  • Minimum 10 years of Oil & Gas Industry experience with a focus in sales origination
  • Have knowledge of oilfield, production facilities, and compression operations
  • Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships with customers
  • Reciprocating compressor and engine experience
  • Results driven Leadership philosophy that utilizes an empowerment style to achieve innovative, continuous, and measurable results
  • Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Dynamics (CRM), Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Commitment to safety, customer service quality and to work in team-oriented environment
  • Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task
