Due to tremendous industry growth, our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to provide technical support for the manufacturing of concrete batch plants and associated equipment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and preparation of all drawings for ease of manufacture
  • Design of new features and options for customer orders
  • New product development and cost reduction
  • Structural integrity and mechanical fit of product
  • Product field support and troubleshooting
  • Technical support for all company departments
  • Cost reduction of the manufacturing process
  • Drawing interpretation and conflict resolution
  • Product testing and inspection

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Proficient with AutoCAD
  • Proficient with SolidWorks
  • Good computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Familiar with reading and interpreting plans and machining
  • Metal fabrication techniques include welding and
  • Mechanical and structural design principals and calculations
  • Sheet metal design and forming techniques
  • Willingness to travel to support products in the field (up to 10% of time)

DESIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred
  • Three (3) plus years’ experience with concrete plants or related industries
  • Five (5) plus years’ experience in a capital equipment environment
  • Regulatory requirements and practices (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
  • Hydraulic equipment experience
  • Familiar with electrical controls from a functional perspective
  • Structural calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) experience preferred
  • Frequent vendor contact
