Job Description

The Manufacturing Engineering Specialist analyzes, maintains, and improves manufacturing performance. They are responsible for deploying new processes and product lines and sustaining and improving existing processes. The Manufacturing Engineering Specialist will establish training programs to support the company's workforce flexibility and provide professional development opportunities for the manufacturing workforce. To ensure success, they must have strong communication skills, ability to work as an individual contributor as well as leading projects with cross functional teams. This position will report to the Plant Manager.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Sustain and improve on safety, environmental, and quality policies, processes, and procedures
Take ownership of production routings and Bill of Materials for all SKUs
Review and update production routings; update MFG drawings as necessary, maintain and create existing/new SOPs, SWIs, and reference guides
Evaluate manufacturing processes and developing effective automated and non-automated flows/systems
Lead facility CAPEX projects in a timely and cost effective manner
Design jigs and fixtures to support and improve the production processes
Drive actions to resolve issues and delays in production
Find ways to reduce costs and maximize quality and productivity
Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations
Communicate and exemplify the company’s philosophy, vision, and expectations to build a culture of excellence across the organization
Act as a change agent to all departments and levels of leadership to challenge processes, propose ideas, and drive change
Lead manufacturing teams for effective problem solving using the appropriate six sigma tools such as 4C, A3, DMAIC etc.
As required, participate in work order processing to ensure accurate ERP transactions

Previous Experience and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or other relevant fields; and at least 3 years of work experience
Previous manufacturing experience with Oil and Gas industry preferred
Advanced level experience of ERP systems (JD Edwards Preferred)
Experience with lean manufacturing tools and methodologies
Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, ability to create drawings
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills Microsoft applications including Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI.
Must be comfortable going on the manufacturing floor in a safety sensitive operation
