Job Description

Our client is a world leader in providing fabricated pressure-tested storage tanks and vessels, and they have quickly expanded their services into the utility industry. Even after over 20 years of service, they are still rapidly growing and looking to add a Production Supervisor to their team!  Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follows all Safety policies and procedures, and immediately notifies manager if Safety protocols are not being met. Adheres to all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) requirements per company policies or contractor requirements. Reports all incidents and accidents regardless of severity to the supervisor, immediately.   Understands that he/she has stop-work authority if work cannot or is not being completed safely. Remember that all incidents and accidents can be prevented with proper job planning and hazard recognition (JSA).
  • Responsible for overseeing the following areas of production. Will support the manufacturing/production processes while ensuring that the following areas are being performed at or above leadership expectations consistently:  Quality, On-Time Delivery, Customer Satisfaction, Cost Control Efforts, Visual Controls, and Facility Performance Measures as it relates to the Utility Division. Consistently monitors and optimizes the productivity of personnel and output.
  • Provides problem resolution, fast solutions, and improved working relationships.
  • Has the ability to multi-task - ensuring production deliverables, timeline deliverables pertaining to senior leadership, and meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Organizes and leads the production meetings to cover for the short-term objectives and the actions needed to achieve the production objectives.
  • Coordinates and participates in resolving labor disputes and employee complaints.
  • Provides an optimal framework for maintaining good relations between management and employees

 General Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of industry experience and 5+ years of Supervisory experience
  • Written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality deliverables within tight timeframes while simultaneously managing several projects.
  • Ability to actively participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule.
  • Outlook, Word, Excel, SOS (Learn and understand a new ERP system that is being evaluated.)
  • Scheduling and Estimating Software/CRM.
  • Must be a team player with a high level of dedication and commitment.
