Responsibilities of the Automation Technician:

Troubleshoot and diagnose rod lift pump off controllers and variable speed drives (VSDs)

Perform on-site installation of rod lift pump off controllers and variable speed drives (VSDs), conduit, etc.

Use various electronic equipment and tools including auto cranes, stud guns, etc.

Recognize and assess a variety of well optimization issues, either on own or by calling other technical specialists

Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record to the extent that you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a client-owned or leased vehicle for company business
Qualifications of the Automation Technician:

Three years of electrical experience in oil & gas

Licensed Electrician (Journeyman or Master Electrical License) is preferred
