Position Overview:

As a Senior Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success and growth of our organization through your experience and expertise.

 

In this dynamic and challenging position, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing strategies that align with our business objectives to drive brand awareness, create customer demand resulting in new customer acquisition and growth with existing customers, resulting in profitable revenue growth. Your deep understanding of the market landscape, consumer behavior, and emerging trends will guide your decision-making process and enable the company to differentiate and stay ahead of the competition.

 

Your strategic vision and strong project management skills will ensure the successful implementation of campaigns across various channels, leveraging digital marketing, including social media, advertising, events, and public relations.

 

Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role as you work closely with cross-functional teams such as sales and product development to develop and deliver integrated marketing initiatives. Your ability to effectively communicate and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners will be crucial in driving successful collaborations and achieving business goals.

 

Additionally, you will be responsible for tracking and analyzing marketing metrics and campaign performance to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Your analytical mindset, coupled with your strong business acumen, will enable you to make data-driven decisions and optimize marketing strategies for maximum impact. This position reports directly to the Director, Program Development and has an option for hybrid within Houston, TX.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Leverage segmentation to identify target audiences, develop relevant messaging, and positioning strategies to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Campaign Development and Execution: Conceptualize, plan, and manage implementation of integrated marketing campaigns across prioritized channels, leveraging: digital marketing, including social media; advertising; events; and public relations. Ensure campaigns are executed effectively, on time, and within budget.
  • Brand Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of a strong brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and touchpoints. Monitor brand perception and implement strategies to enhance brand reputation and equity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, product development, and creative departments to align marketing initiatives with overall business objectives. Foster strong relationships and effective communication to drive successful collaborations and achieve business goals.
    • Collaborate with the market intelligence manager to conduct market research to gain insights into consumer behavior, market trends, and competitor activities. Analyze data and identify opportunities for product positioning, pricing, and market expansion. Utilize market research findings to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors. Negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure deliverables are met.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Track and analyze marketing data to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement. Prepare regular reports for management, highlighting campaign performance and ROI.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage marketing budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently. Monitor expenditures and track return on investment (ROI) to optimize marketing spend.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing. Continuously enhance your knowledge and skills through professional development, attending conferences, and networking with industry peers.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to team members.

Key Factors contributing to success in this role:

  • Experience: 7-10 years direct marketing experience. This experience should include progressively increasing responsibilities, ideally including managerial or leadership experience.
  • Education: Minimum - A bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience in managing a team and driving performance is highly valued.
  • Marketing Expertise: brand management, digital marketing, market research, campaign development and execution, advertising, and public relations. A track record of successful marketing campaigns and demonstrated results.
  • Analytical Skills: utilize marketing analytics tools, such as Google Analytics or social media analytics platforms, to gain insights and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Business Acumen: financial literacy, budget management skills, and a deep understanding of market dynamics and industry trends.
  • Communication Skills: effectively convey ideas, present strategies, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to tailor messages to different audiences, are crucial.
