Our client is looking for a Commercial and strategic Marketing Director to join their team in Missouri City, TX. You will have the opportunity to work for a world leader in its field, providing precision-engineered oilfield equipment, products, and services to customers around the globe. Position Overview:

The Director of Commercial & Strategic Marketing is a high value-add partner to the organization, with a passion for winning and driving profitable growth by utilizing business intelligence and driving sales analytics, effective pricing strategies, and championing skills development within the sales organization. This position will lead the Commercial & Marketing team and is also responsible for the program development process which provides structure for assessment of new product development projects. They will be committed to constantly maintaining awareness of business trends and market conditions to provide strategic advice to the company’s leadership team. The analysis completed by their team will fuel continuous improvement efforts aimed at delivering improved gross margin transactions. They will work closely with NAM Sales, International Sales, Product Lines, Finance, and Legal to assist with the profitable management of Global sales and service contracts.  They will champion the CRM adoption effort within the company and provide analytics to leadership from CRM dashboards to improve business visibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Business Leaders and Sales teams to ensure we are offering the most competitive products and services that solve customer problems.
  • Contributes to a culture that fosters collaboration across different sales and service teams to create a best-in-class customer experience, develops new leads, and fully develops the business.
  • Enhance Commercial productivity by enabling the team to work smarter by evaluating and simplifying processes and introducing new tools.
  • Support the company’s internal Program Development process
  • Manage all technical aspects of the sales system (Salesforce, Rystad)
  • Develop and manage internal and external sales/marketing training and development.
  • Assist in relevant initiatives to deploy specific marketing and training activities.
  • Collaborate with commercialization function to share voice of customer (VOC) feedback and report/inform market requirements, important trends, and competitive information.
  • Evaluates market trends and competitor intelligence that might affect current or future sales growth strategies.
  • Provide support for Commercial tender review (T&C, DOA, etc.)
  • Develop business justification cases and train teams on implementation
  • Improve pricing strategy and customer MSA management process effectiveness
  • Provide regular market and commercial KPI updates to leadership
  • Assesses risks and makes recommendations based on a thorough analysis of all factors involved in a business situation
  • Coaches their team on best practices for managing contract issues and handling daily issues and tasks
  • Assist Sales and Operation teams with the maintenance of key National Account relationships
  • Work with Finance teams to ensure the Quote to Cash process is streamlined and efficient
  • Partner with Legal to ensure Compliant business practices are followed

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) preferably in Business or equivalent field.
  • A minimum of five years of Oil & Gas production segment experience and ten years of B2B product and service experience.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve sales goals
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple initiatives and activities simultaneously.
  • Proficient with MS Office and CRM (preferably Salesforce) systems
  • Excellent verbal, written, management communication and presentation skills
  • Have superior knowledge of products and applications and be able to communicate our value proposition in proposals effectively
