Job Description

At NexusPoint, we help lean teams hire smarter and scale faster.
We partner with early-stage startups and high-growth companies to bring exceptional people into critical roles across operations, creative, and tech. Whether we’re building out founding teams or supporting hiring strategy behind the scenes, we bring a people-first, no-fluff approach to getting the right hires in the door.

We’re hiring a Social Media Manager to help bring brands to life online. If you're creative, analytical, and fluent in internet culture, this is your chance to own the voice of a brand and grow a highly engaged digital audience from the ground up.

THE ROLE

As our Social Media Manager, you will lead strategy, content, and execution across key platforms. You’ll work closely with founders, designers, and marketing teams to create content that drives engagement, builds community, and supports business goals. This role is part creative studio, part growth engine, and part digital PR.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute the brand’s social media strategy across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Twitter
  • Plan, create, and publish content that’s on-brand, engaging, and optimized for each channel
  • Write copy, source visuals, and coordinate with designers or video editors as needed
  • Monitor trends, hashtags, and competitor activity to inform future content
  • Manage the content calendar and post consistently with thoughtful timing and messaging
  • Track performance, analyze insights, and optimize based on what’s working
  • Engage with followers and build authentic relationships with the online community
  • Stay up to date on platform changes, tools, and best practices

Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years of experience managing social media for a brand, startup, agency, or personal brand with measurable growth
  • Strong understanding of how to tailor content to each platform
  • Excellent copywriting and visual storytelling skills
  • Hands-on experience with Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Twitter (X)
  • Proficiency with Canva or Adobe Suite for graphic design
  • Basic video editing skills using tools like CapCut or similar
  • Comfort using scheduling tools like Later or Buffer
  • Experience with Meta Business Suite and native analytics tools
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and deadline-oriented
  • Strong creative instincts with an eye for design, tone, and trends

Bonus Skills

  • Experience working with influencers or creators
  • Paid social campaign support
  • Content strategy or brand marketing experience

Personal Attributes

  • Creative and resourceful
  • Internet-savvy and trend-aware
  • Highly collaborative but confident working independently
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
  • Curious, growth-minded, and excited to experiment
