As a Manager, AWS Cloud you will be responsible for managing and building the USA Cloud Platform to enable the department in cloud migrations and cloud project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Utilizing solid expertise and experience in AWS cloud technology to manage and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, delivery planning and successful delivery of cloud projects.
- Daily customer interaction and management of all team tasks with accountability for deliverables.
- Lead technical discussions relevant to cloud migration with multiple stakeholders to include clients at all levels, application teams, suppliers and program managers.
- Work closely with other leaders to in a matrixed environment to ensure successful cloud delivery and provide ongoing maintenance, upgrades, new projects, etc.
- Manage schedules, assign tasks, sprint planning with multiple projects.
- Adding to technical, design discussions, issue resolution and removing obstacles to ensure program goals are met.
- Articulates solutions, co-develops and documents solution.
- Facilitates and plans change management and release management activities.
- Identifies and addresses inter-team technical dependencies, bridges gaps in technical management.
- Coaches, manages and leads engineers to achieve organizational goals.
- Develop and promote new processes, procedures and solutions that enable improved automation, resilience, reliability and availability of our application portfolio.
- Provide management reports of automated performance and systems’ metrics for trend analysis.
- Participate in discussions and decision-making process with all levels of IT staff and management, as well as on project teams.
- Act as a champion for Cloud Platform Automation throughout IT and make recommendations to effect positive change and improve quality, agility and velocity.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in STEM field, preferably Computer Science.
- Experience: 6 - 8 years or more years.
- Advanced knowledge of AWS Cloud practices within field. Integrates and evaluates new advancements in industry, concepts, techniques, and standards to contribute to successful business results. Considered an expert in the field within the organization.
- AWS Solutions Architect, Project Management certifications preferred. PMP and Agile certifications preferred. Knowledge of engineering tools (configuration management systems, DevSecOps, debuggers) is required.
- Makes complex decisions interpreting company policy, for which there is no set procedure. Decisions influence success for projects of significant impact importance, client relationships, expenses and or ability to meet organizational objectives.
- Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
- Plans, allocates the activities of project teams. Provides training and guidance to less experienced staff.
- Develops solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of innovation. Ensures that solutions are effective in meeting organizational objectives. Questions problem definition to address underlying issues.
- Manages difficult complex situations and or high impact internal/external relationships. Serves as consultant to management on high impact and complex projects and may also be an external spokesperson for the organization on significant matters pertaining to policies, plans, and objectives. Interaction frequently includes senior internal and external personnel often requiring complex coordination between organizations.
