Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join our team as a CMT Technician – Mechanic (AVN). In this role, you’ll be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on fixed-wing aircraft, ensuring compliance with all applicable military and regulatory standards. This role requires a strong focus on safety, technical accuracy, and leadership in daily operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair, and overhaul on aircraft systems

  • Ensure compliance with Transport Canada Regulations (CARS), Technical Airworthiness Manual (TAM), and Quality Control Procedures (QCP)

  • Accurately complete all documentation and work packages according to regulatory and customer standards

  • Ensure aircraft are returned to service in a safe and airworthy condition

  • Mentor and coach junior technicians to support skill development and efficiency

  • Maintain high standards in quality control, workplace safety, and technical performance

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, databases)

  • Technical expertise in one or more areas: mechanics, avionics, structures, or composites

  • Proven ability to enforce safety and quality standards in a regulated environment

  • Effective leadership and team coordination abilities

Required Qualifications

  • Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or equivalent military training

  • Minimum of 48 months of relevant maintenance experience

  • Valid Transport Canada AME-M license or equivalent

  • Prior military aviation experience is an asset

  • Must be eligible for Controlled Goods Program and Secret Security Clearance
