Our client, a Fortune 1000 company, creates software that is used in over 17,000 stores that depend on the technology to ensure consumers and businesses alike can order and operate efficiently. The website and mobile apps developed by the teams consistently challenge the status quo of not only the technology in their field, but beyond.

* This is a 90-day contract to hire position.

* Candidates must be local to Ann Arbor and able to work onsite Monday through Thursday, with remote work on Fridays.

* We are not engaging with third-party vendors for this opening.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and maintain underlying operational data for key systems.
• Understand applications and services, collaborating with solution architects and business analysts to translate solution requirements into data requirements.
• Analyze legacy system configurations and date (products, promotions, pricing, etc.) and collaborate on migration approaches and tools.
• Perform feature acceptance testing as development is completed, diagnosing data issues and engaging with subject matter experts as needed.
• Document and analyze data processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement and scalability.
• Develop and maintain scripts (typically Bash and/or Python) used by the team.
• Work with Technical Delivery Managers to set ticket priorities and assignments.
• Manage seed-data releases and ensure alignment with solution objectives.
• Ensure project-related documentation is complete and up to date.
• Provide leadership during production issues and participate in root cause analyses.
• Serve as the go-to resource on projects when additional support is needed.
• Act as a lead reviewer on pull requests, ensuring all changes are properly reviewed within the team.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business management/administration or related field.
• At least seven years’ experience of applicable IT experience.
• Proficient in handling JSON files.
• Strong technical leadership experience – seeking a candidate with deep technical expertise!
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linus.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Working knowledge of one or more scripting languages.
• Working knowledge of RESTful API concepts and OpenAPI.
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal – seeking a candidate who is capable of understanding complex technical concepts and communicating them clearly.
• Must be self-motivated and capable of working autonomously.

HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bash scripting experience is a plus.
• C# experience is a plus.
