What You’ll Do 

• Maximize product value: Drive the development team’s work to ensure features deliver high business impact. 
• Own the product backlog: Create, maintain, and prioritize backlog items based on business value and project goals. 
• Define product vision: Set the direction for complex, high-value projects and clearly communicate it to the team and stakeholders. 
• Collaborate with engineers: Break down epics and features into actionable user stories that can be delivered within sprints. 
• Lead Agile processes: Guide sprint planning daily scrums, retrospectives, demos, and ensure smooth delivery. 
• Stakeholder and customer alignment: Represent the customer, negotiate priorities, and manage release decisions to meet business objectives. 

This Might Describe You 

• 3+ years as a Technical Product Owner in Agile/Scrum environments. 
• Strong knowledge of software engineering, cloud technologies, and modern architectures (e.g., cloud-native delivery). 
• Experience with Java RESTful APIs, and AWS. 
• Skilled in Agile tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Rally. 
• Proven ability to define and communicate clear product vision, and to prioritize features/backlog items that bring the highest business value. 
• Experienced in leading technical teams and collaborating across stakeholders. 
• Passionate about agile practices and values, serving as both a role model for your team and a champion for the broader agile community. 

*This is a long-term contract-to-hire role, onsite 5 days a week in the downtown Chicago area.
