DIESEL GENERATOR MECHANIC
On-Site Location - Fort Lauderdale, FL
SUMMARY:
Megawattage, LLC, one of the largest turnkey power generator rental, maintenance, and repair companies in Florida is currently interviewing Diesel Generator Mechanics to join their team! Qualified candidates will work on-site at our Fort Lauderdale, FL facility. This is a full-time, hourly position.QUALIFICATIONS:
- Perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines.
- Troubleshoot problems with generators and automatic transfer switches.
- Experience performing start-ups on new equipment and load bank tests.
- Ability to use vendor diagnostic software to identify and repair deficiencies.
- Responsible for processing paperwork and tracking time & expenses on a daily and timely basis.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years' experience, with 2 of those years at the Journeyman level within the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of diesel engines; preferred experience on diesel standby generators.
- Education or technical training or related technical school or equivalent on-the-job training in a field related to diesel engines, power generation plants. An accredited college, university, or technical school may substitute 1 year of required practical experience.
- Basic knowledge of AC 110-690 VAC system and DC system fundamentals and work practices.
- Basic computer skills using MS Office, Emails, etc.
- Must have your own tools.
- Must have a valid driver’s license!!
- Diagnosing problems utilizing a laptop is a plus!
