SITE SAFETY AND HEALTH OFFICER
SUMMARY:
The Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) is authorized to direct stand-down of specific unsafe actions at GSBand/generator locations. This is achieved through verbal/written communications during daily debriefing and between shifts; communicate any pending actions and observations to incoming/outgoing shift personnel, WSP personnel including subcontractors. SSHO will seek concurrence from USACE key personnel should unsafe conditions exist and whenever possible. SSHO is also responsible for WSPs adherence to guidance provided under USACE 385-1-1.
The SSHO is a part of the ICS command staff and guides the IC on HSE policy, procedures, and applicable agency regulations.
