Overview

We are hiring multiple SAP S/4 functional and solution specialists across Manufacturing, Asset Management, Supply Chain, and Sustainment (MRO) to support a large-scale, multi-year transformation from ECC to SAP S/4HANA within a complex Aerospace & Defense (A&D) environment.

This program represents a major release wave in an ongoing transformation and includes:

• End-to-end process coverage across:
  • Manufacturing Operations (Prod Ops)
  • Asset Management / Plant Maintenance (EAM/PM)
  • Quality Management and Manufacturing Execution
  • Supply Chain Collaboration and Sourcing
  • Sustainment / MRO operations
• Support for Engineer-to-Order (ETO) and long lifecycle product environments (aircraft, defense systems, depot maintenance)

We are specifically targeting candidates with ECC → S/4 transformation experience across these domains, ideally within A&D or similarly complex manufacturing environments.

Open Positions (Multiple Hires)

This is a multi-role hiring initiative spanning several functional areas, including:

• SAP Asset Management / Plant Maintenance (Equipment Master, EAM)
• SAP Manufacturing & Quality (including MES integration such as Apriso)
• SAP Supply Chain & Procurement (including SAP Ariba)
• SAP Sustainment / MRO Specialists
• SAP Program & Manufacturing Execution (MEV / production program alignment)
• Production Operations & Customer Delivery / Sell-Off

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy SAP S/4 solutions across manufacturing and supply chain domains, including:
  • Asset Management / Equipment Master & Plant Maintenance (PM/EAM)
  • Quality Management (QM) and MES integration
  • Supply Chain sourcing, collaboration, and supplier integration
  • Sustainment and MRO processes (repair, overhaul, service logistics)
• Support ECC to S/4 conversion activities, including:
  • Master data transformation (equipment, BOMs, routings, suppliers)
  • Process redesign aligned to S/4 capabilities
  • Integration with upstream/downstream systems
• Collaborate across:
  • Manufacturing engineering and operations
  • Supply chain and procurement
  • Quality and compliance teams
  • Finance and program controls
• Participate in:
  • Fit-to-standard workshops and solution design
  • Integration testing, UAT, and defect resolution
  • Deployment readiness and cutover execution
• Support sustainment and post-go-live optimization cycles

Functional Focus Areas

Asset Management / Plant Maintenance (EAM)

• Equipment master data, functional locations
• Preventive and corrective maintenance processes
• Integration with production and supply chain

Manufacturing Execution & Quality

• Integration with MES platforms such as Apriso
• Quality inspection, non-conformance, and compliance processes
• Shop floor execution and production tracking

Supply Chain & Procurement

• Supplier collaboration and sourcing via SAP Ariba
• Product sourcing, supplier lifecycle, and quality traceability
• Supply chain collaboration (SCC) and planning integration

Sustainment / MRO

• Depot maintenance, repair, and overhaul processes
• Service logistics and material tracking
• Lifecycle sustainment and aftermarket support

Program / Manufacturing Execution (MEV)

• Alignment of production with program milestones
• Integration with project systems and manufacturing planning
• Visibility into production status and execution risks

Production Operations / Customer Delivery

• Production execution and order management
• Final delivery, acceptance, and “customer sell-off” processes
• Integration with quality, logistics, and billing

Methodology & Tools Expectations

• Experience delivering S/4 programs using SAP Activate or similar frameworks
• Familiarity with:
  • Agile (Scrum/SAFe) and hybrid delivery models
  • Fit-to-standard and iterative design/build approaches
• Hands-on experience with at least one:
  • Work management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
  • SAP lifecycle tools such as SAP Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM
• Understanding of:
  • Integration testing and defect management
  • Data migration and master data governance
  • Cutover planning and deployment readiness

Required Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of SAP experience (role dependent)
• Experience in one or more areas:
  • EAM / Plant Maintenance
  • Manufacturing / MES integration
  • Supply Chain / Procurement (Ariba)
  • MRO / Sustainment
• Proven experience in ECC to S/4 transformation programs
• Experience in complex manufacturing or regulated industries
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace & Defense industry experience
• Familiarity with:
  • Engineer-to-Order (ETO) environments
  • Long lifecycle asset management and sustainment
• Experience integrating SAP with external platforms (MES, supplier networks)

Work Environment & Constraints

• Remote (U.S.-based only)
• U.S. Citizenship required (ITAR/data sensitivity compliance)
• Ability to support distributed teams and multiple release cycles

Engagement Details

• Initial contract: 6+ months
• Strong likelihood of extension aligned to 2+ year transformation roadmap
• Immediate involvement in design/build release and ongoing deployments
