Overview
We are seeking a Material (Purchased Parts) SAP Consultant to support a large-scale SAP S/4HANA modernization program within a leading Aerospace & Defense (A&D) organization. This multi-year initiative is consolidating multiple business units into a single SAP S/4HANA RISE instance, with integrated solutions spanning program management, supply chain, and earned value (EV) reporting.
This role will focus on purchased parts earned value (EV) capabilities across the Material Earned Value (MEV) solution, ensuring accurate cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting across the procurement lifecycle. The analyst will work at the intersection of SAP S/4HANA, Cobra (EV system), and enterprise reporting platforms, supporting mission-critical program financials in a highly regulated Gov Cloud environment (NS2).
Key Responsibilities
- Design and support purchased material earned value (EV) processes across the MEV solution
- Establish and maintain baseline material costing, including quantity, unit price, and extended value
- Track full procurement lifecycle:
- Purchase Requisition (PR) → Purchase Order (PO) → Goods Receipt → Invoice → Payment
- Develop and maintain time-phased Estimates to Complete (ETC) aligned with contract Period of Performance (PoP)
- Build and support earned value reporting:
- BCWP, BCWS, ACWP, CPI, SPI
- Enable integration between SAP S/4HANA and Cobra for material cost and ETC data
- Create and maintain Supplier Resource Requirements (SRR) and financial summary dashboards
- Develop BOM-level, part-level, and WBS-level data models to support:
- Roll-up / roll-down reporting
- Drill-down analytics
- Time-based “snapshot” reporting
- Analyze inventory and material status impacts:
- Excess / scrap
- Unallocated material
- Consumption and variances affecting EAC
- Support cross-functional collaboration between:
- Supply chain / procurement teams
- Finance / program controls (EVMS)
- SAP functional and technical teams
- Ensure compliance with ITAR, FAR, and DFARS requirements in all data handling and reporting
- Support UAT, data validation, and reconciliation activities during deployment phases
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as an ERP Analyst, Business Analyst, or Functional Consultant in SAP A&D, Government contracting and/or Long-cycle manufacturing environments
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, including:
- MM (Materials Management)
- PP (Production Planning)
- PS (Project Systems)
- CO (Controlling)
- FI (Financial Accounting)
- Experience with PMMO (Project Manufacturing Management and Optimization) and/or GPD (Group Procurement Data)
- Deep understanding of procurement and supply chain processes
- Proven experience supporting earned value management (EVMS) in an A&D or regulated environment
- Experience integrating ERP systems with EV tools such as Cobra
- Strong understanding of:
- Material costing and forecasting
- ETC and EAC modeling
- WBS-based financial structures
- Ability to work with complex, multi-system data models and reporting frameworks
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Aerospace & Defense (A&D) or government contracting environments
- Familiarity with ITAR, FAR, and DFARS compliance requirements
- Experience working in SAP NS2 Secure Government Cloud (Gov Cloud)
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA RISE transformations
- Knowledge of Supplier Resource Requirements (SRR) processes
- Experience with SAP Analytics tools (SAC, BW/4HANA) or external BI platforms
- Understanding of material categorization for EV:
- GPD material
- Raw material
- SRR
- Vendor services
- Subcontract material
- SME in Material Categorization
- Ability to correctly classify and apply EV methodologies across:
- GPD vs raw material
- Services vs subcontracting
- SRR-driven procurement
