Overview

We are seeking 2–3 Mid to Senior SAP BASIS Consultants to support a large-scale SAP modernization program for a leading Aerospace & Defense (A&D) client. This multi-year initiative is focused on consolidating multiple business units into a single SAP S/4HANA RISE instance, alongside several integrated SAP and cloud platforms.

The SAP landscape includes:

• SAP S/4HANA (RISE)
• Standalone SAP EWM and TM systems
• SAP SuccessFactors
• SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)
• Large-scale ECC code remediation (transitioning to RAP-based architecture)

All systems are hosted in a highly regulated NS2 Secure Government Cloud environment, requiring strict adherence to ITAR, FAR, and DFARS compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and support complex SAP landscapes across S/4HANA, ECC, EWM, TM, and cloud-integrated environments
• Perform system installations, upgrades, patches, and refreshes (including S/4HANA and HANA DB)
• Manage SAP transports (CTS/ChaRM), system copies, and client strategies across environments
• Support SAP RISE architecture and coordinate with hyperscaler/cloud operations teams
• Execute performance tuning, system health checks, and root cause analysis
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies are implemented and maintained
• Support integration with SAP BTP, SuccessFactors, and external systems
• Collaborate with development teams on ECC code remediation and RAP-based transformation
• Maintain compliance with security and regulatory standards (ITAR, FAR, DFARS)
• Participate in audit readiness, documentation, and security controls validation
• Troubleshoot complex BASIS and infrastructure issues in a secure Gov Cloud environment
• Support cutover planning, go-live activities, and hypercare phases

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years (Mid-Level) to 15+ years (Senior-Level) of SAP BASIS experience
• Proven experience supporting SAP S/4HANA and HANA database environments
• Experience with SAP RISE architecture and cloud-based SAP deployments
• Strong experience with system builds, upgrades, migrations, and landscape transformations
• Hands-on experience with SAP EWM, TM, and ECC environments
• Experience supporting large-scale, enterprise SAP programs with multiple integrations
• Familiarity with SAP BTP and hybrid/cloud connectivity
• Understanding of transport management, system refreshes, and client strategies
• Experience working in regulated environments (ITAR, FAR, DFARS)
• U.S. Citizenship required

Required / Desired Tooling Experience

• SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM), Focused Run, and/or SAP Cloud ALM
• HANA Cockpit, DBACOCKPIT, and HANA database administration tools
• Software Update Manager (SUM with DMO), Maintenance Planner
• SAP Landscape Management (LaMa) and system provisioning tools
• CTS+, ChaRM, and transport management frameworks
• ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) and S/4HANA custom code remediation tools
• SAP BTP Cockpit, Cloud Connector, and hybrid landscape tooling
• Security and compliance tools (SAP GRC, SUIM, SNC/SSO)
• Monitoring and observability tools (EWA, Solution Manager, Dynatrace, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with NS2 Secure Government Cloud (Gov Cloud)
• Experience in Aerospace & Defense (A&D) or other highly regulated industries
• Knowledge of ECC code remediation and RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST 800-53 or FedRAMP
• SAP certifications (BASIS, HANA, or S/4HANA)
• CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent DoD 8570-compliant certification)
• Exposure to hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) within SAP RISE contexts
• Automation experience (Ansible, Terraform, or scripting for BASIS operations)

• Ability to work across distributed teams and multiple stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and functional teams
• Experience operating in fast-paced, high-visibility transformation programs
