Job Description

Our client seeking an experienced SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant to support the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP TM solutions within a S/4HANA Embedded TM (Advanced) environment. This role requires deep functional expertise across complex, multi-modal transportation scenarios (Ground, Ocean/Sea, and related logistics flows) and hands-on delivery experience across multiple full lifecycle implementations.

The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and technical teams to deliver scalable, high-performance transportation solutions aligned with enterprise supply chain and logistics strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to end-to-end SAP TM implementations, including blueprint, design, build, test, deployment, and post-go-live support

• Analyze and translate business transportation requirements into SAP TM functional designs and solution configurations

• Configure and support SAP TM capabilities including, with tight integration across the S/4HANA landscape:

  • Transportation planning and execution
  • Freight order management
  • Charge calculation and settlement
  • Carrier and tendering management
  • Route determination and optimization

• Integration with core S/4HANA processes including:
  • Sales Order and Delivery integration (SD)
  • Procurement and Inbound Logistics (MM)
  • Warehouse execution and integration with SAP EWM
  • Freight cost calculation, settlement, and posting to Finance (FI/CO)
  • Master data alignment across Business Partner, Materials, Locations, and Organizational structures

• Design and implement solutions for complex, multi-modal transportation scenarios, including ground and ocean/sea freight

• Support S/4HANA Embedded TM (Advanced) deployments and integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems

• Collaborate with technical teams on interfaces, enhancements, and data migration activities

• Support testing activities (unit, integration, UAT) and provide defect resolution

• Develop functional specifications, configuration documentation, and user training materials

• Provide guidance and best practices to junior consultants and client stakeholders

• Participate in solution reviews, design workshops, and governance forums
