Job Description
One of our top manufacturing clients is seeking a Facility Maintenance Supervisor to oversee plant and building maintenance, including preventative upkeep for facilities and grounds, negotiate with external contractors, and supervise building security for office personnel.
Qualifications:
- Strong team leader with over 5 years of leadership experience in the manufacturing sector, known for effectively motivating and overseeing maintenance personnel
- Proven ability to manage large-scale facility projects and equipment upgrades.
- Holds an Industrial Electrician/Mechanic License or equivalent certification.
- In-depth knowledge of PLC-controlled systems, operating and maintaining stamping presses, molding machines, welding robots, and assembly lines.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Prepared to handle after-hours calls and manage responsibilities during emergencies while being familiar with security systems and response protocols
Must have requirements
Automotive manufacturing experience
Must have facilities maintenance experience as a supervisor
Requirements
- Parts Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of critical spare parts and order replacements as necessary, providing the team with timely status updates.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM) System: Oversee the PM system by adjusting checklists, documenting deficiencies, and performing audits to ensure compliance.
- Contractor Oversight: Manage annual contracts with facility contractors to guarantee timely maintenance for chillers, HVAC systems, wastewater facilities, and electrical feeds.
- Repair and Maintenance Coordination: Solicit quotes for facility repairs and ensure effective communication and resolution of issues with the team.
- Capital Project Management: Request funding for facility improvements and secure three quotes for capital projects and spare parts for review by management.
