Job Description

MetaTech Consulting, Inc (MTC) is hiring a Principal Systems Engineer – Agile Scrum Master (TS/SCI & FSP) for onsite, full-time work in Annapolis Junction, MD with a salary up to $203,500.00.

This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location. As an Agile Scrum Master Systems Engineer on our team you will provide systems engineering support to a High-Performance Computing team and will assist in combining/aligning Software, DevOps, and sustainment along with their product owners, products and deliverables. Responsibilities include supporting the following:

Responsibilities:

• Organize the engineering activities to support current and future tasks and identify risks and dependencies.
• Help the team communicate and coordinate to deliver work items, perform daily backlog refinement, facilitate team events.
• Assist the Product owner in preparing and refining the backlog for Program iteration and iteration planning, conduct backlog grooming with the team.
• Coordinate with the Product owner and Release train engineer to mitigate risks, management dependencies, and address issues.

Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline plus at least 15 years of systems engineering experience.
  • A Master’s degree or PhD may be substituted for two years of experience.
  • A high school diploma or GED plus 19 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
• Familiarity/Experience in both development and sustainment.
• Defining, developing, and documenting operational support concepts leading to development and implementation of requirements, specifications, and design plans.
• Familiarity/Experience with Scrum process for agile project management.
• Familiarity with Jira.
• Position requires TS/SCI clearance with full scope polygraph

 Experience Desired:

• Experience with IC industry and customer.
