Position Title: Project Administrator

Position Overview:

The Project Administrator plays a critical role in supporting site drilling activities and ensuring seamless communication between the on-site teams and the client. This development role is ideal for individuals with a background in geology, mining engineering, or hands-on mining experience, looking to advance into a Project Manager role. The Project Administrator will act as a key liaison, speaking the technical language of the mine, and contributing to the successful execution of drilling projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Site Drilling Operations: Work closely with the drilling team to coordinate and support daily drilling activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between the client and on-site team, ensuring clear, consistent, and professional communication.
  • Project Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including reports, schedules, and equipment logs.
  • Problem Solving: Address on-site challenges proactively by collaborating with the engineering and geology teams to find effective solutions.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with the company's health and safety standards, as well as industry regulations.
  • Project Management Pathway: Gain valuable experience and knowledge to transition into a Project Manager role, with mentoring from senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Degree or diploma in Geology, Mining Engineering, or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the mining industry, with exposure to drilling operations preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to understand and communicate technical aspects of mining operations; experience with project management software is an asset.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. A proactive approach to work and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
