Human Resources Manager – US Business Unit

Purpose of the Role
The Human Resources Manager for the US Business Unit has a critical role in implementing the leadership tools (systems, behaviors, and symbols) necessary to foster a work environment where employees are motivated to give their best. This role directly contributes to the deposit's development and supports the business's current and future operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership Tools Implementation: Design, implement, execute, and audit leadership tools within the US Business Unit to enhance employee engagement and performance.
- HR Strategy and Vision: Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the business’s overall mission, focusing on culture, organizational design, change management, and HR metrics.
- HR Operations: Oversee HR operations, including communications, employee and labor relations, budgeting, HR technology, and compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Employee Engagement: Drive employee engagement initiatives, focusing on diversity, onboarding, operational training, and leadership development.
- Talent Acquisition: Lead talent acquisition efforts, from employer branding to candidate sourcing, assessment, and selection, ensuring the business attracts top talent.
- Performance Management: Manage performance planning, appraisals, coaching, and the overall performance management process.
- Total Compensation: Administer and oversee compensation, benefits, and recognition programs, including payroll administration.
- Facilities Management: Manage the facilities, providing leadership to business administration roles within these locations.
What You’ll Work On
- Designing and Implementing Leadership Tools: Tailor and execute HR management systems that support the business’s goals, particularly in a startup mining environment.
- Enhancing Employee Engagement: Develop programs that foster a culture of engagement and diversity, contributing to the overall success of the deposit.
- Strategic HR Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the HR vision, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and strategic direction.
- Facilities Management: Lead the management of key facilities, ensuring they operate efficiently and align with business needs.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 15+ years in Human Resources Management, with at least 10 years in a management capacity. Experience in a startup mining environment is highly valuable.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of state labor laws in Arizona (Nevada is a plus), and expertise in HR metrics and leadership systems.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; SHRM-SCP designation or equivalent preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in balancing theoretical HR practices with practical solutions for an operational workforce.
