Title: Regional Manager Corporate Contracts

Overview:
Our client, a leading international mining company, is seeking a Regional Manager Corporate Contracts to join their team. The company operates large, long-lived, geographically diverse assets with significant proven and probable reserves of copper, gold, and molybdenum. This position has the possibility to work remotely up to 100% of the time, with occasional travel to the corporate offices and/or site locations required. 

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and mentorship to multiple teams of contracts managers and administrators responsible for engineering, construction, and services contracts on assigned capital projects across a region.

Implement and oversee corporate policies and procedures across projects.

Facilitate training for key Contracts Team members on large capital projects and coordinate training and orientation of junior team members.

Analyze major contracts to identify areas of risk and make recommendations for risk mitigation.

Develop strategies to achieve annual goals and objectives.

Lead the development of strategic approaches to engineering contracting for large capital projects.

Liaise with management within Engineering & Construction and other support services groups to ensure contract compliance, risk mitigation, and service management.

Ensure the flow of valuable, analyzed information and reporting to the Corporate Management Team.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED and sixteen (16) years of experience in Supply Chain or related fields, OR Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related fields and twelve (12) years of experience.

At least two (2) years of experience managing teams of Contract Management professionals.

Experience managing E, C, EP, EPC, EPCM and CM contracts from negotiation through close out for large mining, oil and gas, or industrial projects.

Comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes and industry practices.

Leadership, team building, and delegation abilities.

Superior analytical thinking and decision-making skills.

Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment with multiple tasks.

Knowledge of contract language and proven negotiation skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication.
