As the Senior Vice President of Global Business Development and Commercial you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the company's growth strategy on a global scale. Responsibilities:

  • Global Business Development Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive global business development strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives, taking into account regional variations and market dynamics.
  • Market Analysis: Identify new market opportunities globally, conduct thorough market research, and stay updated on industry trends to drive business growth in different regions.
  • Regional Partnership Development: Identify and establish strategic partnerships, alliances, and joint ventures in key regions to expand the company's market presence and increase revenue streams on a global scale.
  • Sales and Revenue Generation: Collaborate with the sales teams across regions to drive revenue growth, develop region-specific sales strategies, and ensure sales targets are met or exceeded in various markets.
  • Contract Negotiation: Oversee contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and proposal development globally to secure new business and maintain profitable relationships with clients in different countries.
  • International Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with key international customers, understand their specific needs and cultural nuances, and ensure their satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service tailored to each region.
  • Global Team Leadership: Lead and manage a diverse, global team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster professional growth and achieve departmental objectives across different regions.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and evaluation of global business opportunities to assess profitability, risks, and market potential across various countries and regions.
  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitors' activities, pricing, and market strategies globally to identify areas for improvement and maintain a competitive edge in different markets.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare regular reports, presentations, and updates for senior management and the board of directors, highlighting global business development activities, progress, and results.


Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree/MBA is highly advantageous.
  • Experience: 15 years of progressive experience in global business development, commercial operations, or related roles, preferably in the mining or mineral processing industries with a focus on international markets.
  • Global Strategic Vision: Proven track record in developing and executing successful global business development strategies, driving revenue growth, and expanding market share across multiple regions.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire teams across different cultural backgrounds, promote collaboration, and foster a culture of excellence in a global context.
  • International Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of international markets, including regional variations, customer needs, cultural nuances, and emerging trends in the mining or mineral processing industry.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting on a global scale, with the ability to assess financial viability and make data-driven decisions in different markets.
  • Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and partners across various countries and regions.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate and close complex international business deals, with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes.
