Position Overview
M Force Partners is seeking an experienced Permitting Specialist to support major mining and environmental permitting initiatives. This Permitting Specialist role will lead projects through the regulatory approval process while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
The ideal Permitting Specialist will bring strong experience in environmental baseline studies, regulatory compliance, and project coordination within mining or extractive industries. This position will collaborate closely with project teams, regulators, consultants, and stakeholders to support successful project development and permitting.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and support a strong safety culture within project and operational teams
- Provide guidance to ensure project impacts and mitigation strategies align with sustainability and environmental standards
- Lead permitting efforts for major mining projects through NEPA and state/federal regulatory processes
- Work closely with project teams to ensure environmental compliance and regulatory alignment
- Coordinate and manage baseline environmental studies and technical evaluations
- Develop and prepare permit applications and regulatory documentation
- Engage with federal agencies, state agencies, and local governments through meetings, presentations, and written reports
- Develop scopes of work and manage consultants and contractors supporting permitting activities
- Maintain project schedules, scopes, and budgets for permitting projects
- Implement project management controls to support successful permitting outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Engineering, Environmental Planning, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in environmental permitting, environmental compliance, or regulatory programs
- Experience managing environmental programs including air quality, water quality, wildlife, hydrology, geochemistry, waste management, and cultural resources
- Understanding of environmental compliance on federal and private lands
- Experience supporting mining or extractive industry projects
- Strong knowledge of environmental laws, regulatory policies, and permitting requirements
- Project management experience coordinating complex environmental initiatives
- Ability to travel within the state of Nevada as required for project needs
