Position Overview

M Force Partners is seeking a skilled Design Drafter / Detailer to support engineering and production teams by creating and modifying detailed mechanical drawings and models. This Design Drafter / Detailer role will focus on developing accurate SolidWorks designs that meet customer specifications and manufacturing requirements.

The ideal Design Drafter / Detailer will have strong SolidWorks experience, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with fabrication and production teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable.

Key Responsibilities

• Create new models and drawings or modify existing designs to meet customer requirements
• Ensure drawings conform to client guidelines and engineering standards
• Develop detailed mechanical drawings using SolidWorks
• Utilize SolidWorks PDM for document and revision management
• Collaborate with fabricators, welders, machinists, and internal teams to ensure designs are manufacturable
• Support engineering and production teams with technical documentation and drawing updates

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a drafter, detailer, or designer
• Associate degree in Mechanical Design or related technical discipline
• Minimum 2 years of SolidWorks experience (3+ years preferred)
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and mechanical design documentation
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, detail-focused environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks PDM
• Knowledge of welding processes and fabrication documentation
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and buildable design practices
