Maintenance & Reliability Manager
Location: Baltimore, MD
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $132,146 (based on experience)
Position Overview
M Force Partners is seeking a Maintenance & Reliability Manager to oversee plant-wide maintenance, reliability, and equipment performance within a manufacturing environment. This leadership role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, reducing downtime, and ensuring maintenance programs support safety, quality, and production goals.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical expertise who can partner closely with Engineering and Operations to improve equipment reliability, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and support long-term plant performance.

Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Leadership & Operations
- Lead and manage maintenance operations across the entire facility
- Direct maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability
- Ensure plant performance meets or exceeds established KPIs
- Deliver maintenance services on time, within budget, and aligned with quality standards
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce OSHA and company safety policies and procedures
- Lead safety initiatives for maintenance teams and promote safe work practices
- Support EH&S investigations and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, and related standards
Team Development & Performance
- Lead and develop maintenance supervisors and technicians
- Train, evaluate, and mentor team members to strengthen technical capabilities
- Support career development planning and continuous skill growth within the department
Continuous Improvement & Reliability
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost control, and downtime reduction
- Develop and enhance preventive maintenance programs, CMMS utilization, and downtime tracking systems
- Establish operating procedures, priorities, and best practices to maximize equipment performance
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Engineering & Capital Projects
- Partner with Engineering on capital planning, equipment upgrades, and new installations
- Support equipment purchasing decisions, installation oversight, and startup activities
- Provide technical expertise to improve production efficiency and overall plant reliability
- Contribute to operational system and process improvements
Operational Support
- Collaborate with Operations leadership on plant-wide initiatives and improvement projects
- Support new product development efforts by ensuring equipment readiness and process efficiency
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve departmental performance and results
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years of relevant maintenance or reliability experience
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
- Experience collaborating across maintenance, quality, and safety functions
- Proven ability to coach and develop team members
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and technical troubleshooting abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Experience supporting beverage or process manufacturing equipment
