Component Engineer 
Location: Bethlehem, PA
Job Type: Full-Time


Position Overview

M Force Partners is seeking a Component Engineer to support component selection, compliance, and lifecycle management within an electrical manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with engineering, purchasing, and supply chain teams to ensure components meet technical, regulatory, and customer requirements from new product introduction through end-of-life.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in power electronics components, supplier collaboration, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to guide cross-functional teams and third-party partners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for component selection, qualification, and approval across product lines

  • Partner with engineering, purchasing, and supply chain teams to support component sourcing and standardization

  • Manage customer-driven regulatory and compliance requirements, coordinating with third-party data providers

  • Review, evaluate, and approve component documentation to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards

  • Build, maintain, and audit bills of material (BOMs) for accuracy and completeness

  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities, including component selection from concept through end-of-life

  • Identify and recommend alternate components to mitigate risk and support manufacturing continuity

  • Interface directly with suppliers to evaluate technical capabilities and component substitutions

  • Track and communicate project status and compliance progress to leadership

  • Support and manage change activity through ECR/ECN processes

  • Lead third-party partners (e.g., compliance data providers) to ensure timely and accurate reporting

  • Support ongoing and emerging regulatory requirements, including:

    • Conflict Minerals

    • RoHS and REACH

    • TSCA and PFAS

    • California Prop 65

    • HTS, CEPA, and supply chain transparency requirements


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution

  • 5+ years of experience supporting power electronics or electrical component sourcing

  • Proven experience providing component engineering support in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate status effectively

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting UL certification processes (UL 924 knowledge a plus)

  • Working knowledge of SiliconExpert or similar component intelligence platforms

  • Experience managing third-party compliance partners

  • Familiarity with global regulatory and supply chain compliance frameworks
