Position Overview
M Force Partners is seeking a skilled Assembler to support the manufacturing and assembly of advanced process equipment in Chapel Hill, NC. This Assembler role focuses on mechanical assembly, system testing, and supporting the setup and maintenance of manufacturing infrastructure used to build specialized equipment.
The ideal Assembler will have strong hands-on mechanical skills, experience assembling complex equipment, and the ability to support testing and troubleshooting in a technical manufacturing environment. This Assembler position plays an important role in ensuring equipment is assembled, tested, and prepared for shipment according to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mechanical assembly of equipment and process tools according to engineering specifications
Assemble components ranging from standard mechanical parts to high-vacuum assemblies
Support electrical assembly and basic equipment wiring as needed
Perform subsystem testing and assist with full system testing
Prepare and organize pre-shipment testing documentation
Assist with setup and organization of assembly and testing work areas
Manufacturing Support
Assist with facility setup activities including installation of manufacturing infrastructure systems
Support setup and maintenance of process gas distribution and water-cooling systems
Help maintain manufacturing support systems such as hydrogen generators, liquid nitrogen systems, process gas systems, and water chillers
System Support
Assist with troubleshooting equipment issues during testing and assembly
Provide remote support information for diagnostic troubleshooting when needed
Support equipment installation and startup when required, including occasional travel to customer sites
Required Qualifications
Strong problem-solving skills
Proficiency with mechanical assembly tasks including drilling, tapping, and component installation
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience assembling or maintaining vacuum equipment
Experience with basic electronic testing methods
Familiarity with machining processes or fabrication techniques
Exposure to RF or microwave hardware or testing environments
Education and Experience
Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience or technical training
Associate degree or technical education preferred but may be offset by hands-on experience
