Schedule: Overnight rotation (12-hour shifts, alternating pattern)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate with additional overnight differential
This role focuses on supporting manufacturing operations through hands-on maintenance, equipment modification, and technical troubleshooting. The technician will work with automated production systems to ensure safe operation, consistent quality, and efficient cycle times. Responsibilities include mechanical, electrical, and controls-related tasks within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Diagnose, repair, and maintain automated production equipment
Build, modify, and relocate machinery as production needs change
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
Program and adjust PLCs and robotic systems (experience with Omron preferred)
Calibrate equipment and make design or process adjustments as needed
Track and document downtime, corrective actions, and preventative maintenance
Support continuous improvement initiatives and efficiency enhancements
Operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and workplace standards
Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and support teams
Follow established operating instructions, safety rules, and internal procedures
Work independently with limited supervision
Complete additional tasks as assigned
Collaborate with internal departments and external resources when required
Participate in quality systems, environmental programs, and team initiatives
Availability for rotating shifts, overtime, and occasional travel
High school diploma or equivalent
Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience in industrial maintenance
Several years of experience supporting manufacturing equipment
Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems (AC/DC)
Prior exposure to automation, controls, or robotics in a production setting
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Ability to fabricate or modify parts as needed
PLC proficiency (Omron experience a plus)
Understanding of robotics, servos, and automated systems
Clear communication of maintenance issues and solutions
Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment
Ability to remain on feet for extended shifts
Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching
Capability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to ~75 lbs)
Work in elevated areas, tight spaces, and around high-voltage systems
Ability to push or pull equipment without assistance
